This week I looked on SO for answers on a new technology I'm learning and the site told me to go there for answers. On the first page it only got a couple of answers and only one got marked. Most of the questions were lying around for at least a day dead in the water. I think it mostly depends on which technology you ask a question about and which timeframe of the day. Same goes for most open forums.

    Hi,

there's already an overview of unresolved threads and Microsoft hires people, not the moderation team as we're volunteers, to tackle these unresolved threads. I usually start by going to the unanswered overview and My Threads to see where I can help out.

Perhaps it could be that the Unresolved view gets more attention/love or be put more in the picture for all members. An alternative could be that unresolved threads come in higher on the forum and Answered threads fall off the fold.

    Grz, Kris.

This has been suggested already in a couple of other posts.

I'm not in favor to have yet another forum list but I would like to see the jQuery forum renamed to have all kinds of posts about jQuery, Angular, react, ... in it.

Actually adds help the .NET ecosystem. About 10 years ago the moderators got the question if they would like to see the adds disabled. We didn't want to as: we wanted to keep on seeing what everyone else saw and more importantly: it's a way to keep up to date with new stuff coming out as the adds on the ASP.NET forums are targeted for us.

    Duplicate suggestion.

The site's already been made responsive for mobile devices. Personally I would like to see other improvements first before this is tackled.

So basically you want a newsfeed on the www.asp.net like what you see in Visual Studio when you start it up and you see the Start Page?

There's already an article of the day session and to keep up with the latest news in general visit sites like theverge or zdnet.

I'm a big pro about this myself. I would like to see some good overview of the threads I'm either involved in (basically My Threads) but also in the ones I'm not involved it but have them starred for follow up. I don't need it to be via email though as my mailbox already gets swamped with too much information. I would like to keep things on the site itself in a handy overview.

Normally you have multiple quality versions per video so even if you're on small band you could download the one with the least megabytes and start watching it. You can also watch in in the browser as then it gets loaded progressively.

There are 5 ways to login: https://login.asp.net/account/login?ReturnUrl=http%3a%2f%2fforums.asp.net%2f so this sounds rather strange.

To follow up simply go to http://forums.asp.net/myforums.aspx/1/20.

Given the fact that this post is made by an anonymous person I suspect it's rather to just joke around or something.

Microsoft already has been hiring people to do so for quite some years. You can see it usually in the name they use on the forums suffixed by - MSFT. They try to solve the open threads which didn't get much attention or after a couple of business days usually.

Can you elaborate on your suggestion? When I open for example http://www.asp.net/mvc/overview/getting-started/introduction/getting-started I can see one can leave comments at the bottom.
