I hate the fact that after publishing an asp.net web app, I need to remote into the server and encrypt connection strings and perhaps other sections of my web.config. It would be great if I could automatically kick off a post-deployment script which would do this for me.
Right now we can use MSDeployEnableWebConfigEncryptRule in pubxml to encrypt connection strings, but there is no option to encrypt appSettings. I like the idea to be able to add post deploy script on target machine. This don't have to be an option in GUI, I don't mind editing pubxml files.
Please consider this for future release.
