I suggest you ...

Provide a true WYSWYG tool

The show stopper for web development is GUI. Provide a drag drop feature rich true WYSWYG that plays well with major products. The current functionality is horrible. There are countless examples of such functionality on the web.

In the ultimate case one could make up the html she wants locally with a tool like Markpad and copy paste the generated html into the html editor part of the TinyMCE editor.

The forums currently use the TinyMCE editor, which is a fairly popular and widely used one. What specific concerns do you have with it or functionality that you would like to see added to it presently?

There are plenty of other alternatives out there (e.g. Summernote, CKE, Redactor, etc.) but without knowing what is specifically bothering you with the existing editor (or what shortcomings it has), it would be difficult to tell if a minor change could fix it or if the editor needed to use a different plug-in.

This really has nothing to do with the asp.net website - and if you want a WYSIWYG tool, there are literally thousands of amazing ones, both paid and free.
