  1. Open UpVoting to Every Answer, Let User Decides

    https://forums.asp.net/t/1492192.aspx?How+to+disable+resize+grip+on+multiline+textbox+

Hope The Forum can let every answer can be up voted decided by viewer like stackoverflow, sometimes I see good answer that's not marked as answer is useful, but i can't upvote it.

  2. User will not get answer within 5 or 10 mints like stack over flow users will get.

I observe so many times, when I posted my question into ASP.NET forum, I got answer within one day or some time take 6 hours. This is very important think to want user urgent answers.

  5. Make login reasonably intuitive

This isn't the first time I've had trouble logging in from a new machine. It wants a user name, not an email address. So, I click the link to "log in or register with a Microsoft account" but only have the option to register, not log in. So, when I enter my email address, it says it's already associated with an account, but I can't use it to log in! Cmon Microsoft. I'm kind of a computer wizard. How can I find it challenging to log into your website?

  7. Consider cashing in on Stack Overflow

The fora are for Tech Support and Discussion on Products.

I used to use them a lot, but stack overflow upset that. I now find that Stack-Overflow, is often fairly bad. It's not curated well. Problems include:
    1) Wrong answers voted most highly. (Often these are old.)
    2) Only old answers are present though the technology has moved on.
    3) Useful information is repeated in various answers so it takes time to consolidate it.

    I suggest as follows:

    1) Bring in StackOverflow content.
    2) Construct material based on that, but integrated, and up to date.
    3) Curate the material on…

  8. Ring the Bell on a question if its not answered or solved

Ask a question, it gets attention the first day or 2. From there? usually nothing ever again. Ask a new follow up question and its deleted by zealous moderators as being a duplicate because it has the same words like software or c# in both posts. So the follow up question is gone.

You can post and ask and post and ask in the original question. silence. nothing. I may as well ask my cat for the answer, the information is posted and no replies. So the suggestion is to add some indicator that will signal the question is not…

  10. Add a "We ain't ready" link to site landing page

A big, bold "We ain't ready!"* link on the landing page of http://www.asp.net/. Link to a big list of all the major, unresolved issues in the runtime or module ecosystem that developers should be aware of when jumping into the new DotNetCore system. A warning that DataTable/Set/etc objects are not available would especially be appreciated - I've just had to abandon MVC6 after days of research when I ran into that very issue.

    * Or whatever language is appropriate but still dramatic and attention-getting

  12. Make asp.net work without JavaScript

www.asp.net displays a blank page if JavaScript is not available. Unsecured pages with JavaScript pose security issues.

  13. I noticed following should be asp.net forum.

    1. Paid answer system: User will be more interest to answer.

    2. use Jquery and angular js: For quick loading of page, filtering and so on.

    3. If no buddy answer of question on the same day then higher authority should be analys and resolve the problem on the same day.

  15. Enable Post Subscriptions for all threads I start or reply to.

If I create a post or reply to another's post, I want/need the ability to automatically subscribe to that topic.

Every time I post on forums.asp.net (whether I create the new topic or reply to someone else's), I have to go up to the top to click "Subscribe via Email".

Even if I have clicked to "Subscribe via Email" once and I get an email that I follow, now I am no longer subscribed to updates. My subscription gets turned off.

What is the point in posting a question or asking how someone did something if I never get a…

  16. UI about

This UI system was serving for a long period, and it's become out date today. Should this be replaced by modern one - rich on both browser and mobile?

  18. AngularJs / Angular 2 section

As some of us are aware AngularJS is becoming a very popular language to learn and use within applications. Many developers including myself use AngularJS throughout MVC Applications, now my idea would be to have a dedicated section for Angular similar to how you have a dedicated area for "jQuery for the ASP.NET Developer" that way we can learn / fix issues.

  19. Maintain the Community Recognition / Hall of Fame Stats

I'm not active like I used to be but I've invested 100's and 100's of hours into those forums over the years.

I didn't do it for the points, I did it for the experience and in that respect it provided amply.

However as I built up the score I do use it as a point of pride. It's on my CV and other bios that I've written.

I know everything fades away in time but it would be a shame for all that to be lost in a new system.

If it's decided that it can't be incorporated into…

  20. Provide a Badge of Honor

As described here http://forums.asp.net/t/2090041.aspx I find it a good idea to show off on a personal website the recognition one gained on the ASP.NET forums. This can be cached on a daily basis or for ... hours upon a request.
