  1. SignalR guaranteed message delivery

Googling around you will see some options for implementing guaranteed delivery of message to the clients.
    Like this stackoverflow post http://stackoverflow.com/questions/22197129/how-to-do-guaranteed-message-delivery-with-signalr

Could you please include this topic in the official SignalR topics list with best practices and recommendations for various scenarios.

Since we can expect that clients can get disconnected, we would need to be prepared to be able to send them the missed messages if the use case requires guaranteed delivery of messages. Timeouts, max number of queued up messages etc could also be included.

I see this feature as a more important one for enterprise adoption and if…

  7. real life example of parent child one to many relationships in MVC? Your example with checkboxes sucks!

real life example of parent child one to many relationships in MVC? Your example with checkboxes sucks! I need a one to many form where that the Parent is create, I can create one or more child records that don't already exist. Example, People and Addresses as a person can have several addresses. Oh the example where you pound Edit and Create into the same method and delete all the existing child records and then insert all the of existing records... doesn't cut it.

I'm on the verge of going to JAVA to do MVC because you cannot provide a…

  9. Database initializers vs. database migration, and use of Configuration.Seed vs. DropCreateDatabaseAlways.Seed methods

There are few resources on these topics, I have posted some questions on SO and ASP.NET forums but didn't get any replys. I want to know in which case database initializers works: if the database schema changes from the code (i.e. property added to the entity, deleted or modified) or the database itself changes (i.e. column added, deleted or modified) from the server, or if the data changes (data added, deleted or modified) and still have to use migration along with initializers to handle changes on the database schema. Also if I enabled both initializers and migration in my code,…

  10. make walk through series for MVC 5 framework ,similar to the 'WingTip toys' (Getting Started with ASP.NET 4.5 ) series done for web forms.

There is an excellent tutorial called 'Getting Started with ASP.NET 4.5 Web Forms and Visual Studio 2013'. This tutorial builds an application called 'WingTip Toys'.

I would like to see one exactly like this for the MVC 5 framework using ado.net for the data access layer

I am a beginner and was trying to work with the RDLC reports. There was only one tutorial which i didn't understand. There should be a complete article explaining how to create and integrate RDLC report in application. Also need steps to take print out of the report without showing report on reportviewer. Thanks

Database migration of existing database with EF works well on local machine and lots of documents are available but it would nice to have document how to deploy on production server with migration would be good where clients have their own server with the existing database.

  16. MVC View Models instead of ViewBag

I think it would be an excellent idea if (a) you removed the tutorials teaching the use of VIewBag for things that really should be done by means of a View Model, and (b) to comprehensively teach the use of ViewModels in MVC and ways to think about constructing ViewModels. There are a lot of gotchas and subtleties involved. Here is a specific example (among many other possibilities): if I want to put some Select Lists in Html.BeginForm to filter model content shown in the table, I _should_ have a View Model defined that contains both the Model, the Select…

  20. Adding a 2nd Table to MVC

When an MVC project is created with a Model and some class is defined that matches the db Table, trying to add in a 2nd table is so difficult as to be absurd. For example, I have an existing project but have the need to add a reference table to hold names & info for employees and in a dropdown list select a name and the data fills in the associated textboxes in an Edit or Create page. But it appears only one class is allowed because the controller only lets one table be returned. Now other tables can be…
