Could you please file this against the general visualstudio.uservoice.com site? This user voice site is about ASP.NET.
Not really sure what we can do here. There is not really a way for the editor to know what items you have in config that your code references.
This uservoice site is for the ASP.NET framework, please submit this feature on visualstudio.codeplex.com
I am closing this suggestion since ASP.NET is database agnostic. You can use EntityFramework for SQL Server and other relational databases
When you ask for MySQL or PostgreSQL support are you talking about Visual Studio or ASP.NET? ASP.NET today is pretty database agnostic and will work with anything that has an ADO.NET or Entity Framework provider. There are providers for both of the above databases.
ASP.NET site has been redesigned.
Are you talking about the small circle that highlights around the circle button when you hover your mouse over it? The effect does not be very distracting, or are you thinking about something else?
See Scott’s information and recommendation.
We are continuing to invest in the Ajax Control Toolkit both fixing bugs and adding new functionality. We also have now made it available via NuGet which makes it much easier to instal and update in web projects. We also are working on a new toolkit to make using jQuery UI in Web Forms much easier. It should be announced soon!
