        Go to definition (F12) does work in jQuery. What exactly isn't working?

          You can always use IIS by configuring it manually - even if you're using IIS Express from Visual Studio. I do that for many of my web projects

            I believe you already can if you add the right Razor and Web Pages NuGet packages. See this https://github.com/madskristensen/MiniBlog/blob/master/Website/app_code/handlers/CommentHandler.cs#L59

              Don't you think it would be preferable if Esri wrote a Visual Studio extension themselves? After all, they know their features a lot better than we do

                  What stops you from doing this today? How is KnockoutJS affected by the way you transfer the data from server to client?

                    By "base scripts" do you mean item templates so you can do "Add new item..." -> "CoffeeScript Knockout viewmodel" etc.?

                      AngularJS Intellisense in the JavaScript editor is being worked on right now. Intellisense for HTML attributes and elements have been partly added to VS2013 RTM and to VS2013 Update 2. Full AngularJS client template Intellisense is scheduled for later

                        Prescriptive guidance is in the works for the next version of the web tools. There will likely be project templates, snippets, item templates etc. for proper modularize Angular/KO/Ember/etc. apps. Point is, this is being actively looked into right now

                          There's already support @functions{ ... } today. Is this a request for something beyond that?

                            Url rewrite can do both permanent and temporary redirects

                            This article explains how to do that using URL Rewrite: http://keyvan.io/remove-www-prefix-from-urls-with-url-rewrite-module-for-iis-7-0

                                      Web Essentials had a feature for sorting properties alphabetically. The problem was that it doesn't make a lot of sense. A better sorting is what's found in CssComb http://csscomb.com/

                                      This is what Web Essentials uses today.

                                      Also with Web Essentials, you can use CTRL+comma to search for your class name. Just type .userphoto

                                        Web Essentials 1.0 for VS2013 can find unused CSS. Here's a short demo video http://youtube.com/watch?v=bM5oz_2OidI

                                        Download http://vswebessentials.com

                                        Are you thinking of JS and CSS code in particular?

                                          This is now available in Web Essentials for Visual Studio 2013

                                          Is this for the HTML editor like so?

                                          <!-- #region Foo -->

                                          something...

                                          <!-- #endregion -->
